Thigh Plasty

Thigh plasty is plastic surgery on the thighs to improve contour. Thigh plasty is the medical term for thighlift. Plastic surgeons remove excess skin to tighten the thighs in a thigh plasty procedure. Such excess skin typically results from weight loss. With a growing incidence of obesity, thigh plasty procedures are increasing in popularity. Liposuction may lead to excess loose skin in those patients with decreased skin elasticity. Thigh plasty is the perfect procedure to address the excess thigh skin in such patients. Gastric banding or gastric bypass procedures are other surgical procedures which lead to excess thigh skin with decreased elasticity. Body contouring procedures are perfect adjuncts to thigh plasty. Body contouring procedures include reduction mammoplasty (breast reduction), abdominoplasty (tummy tuck), brachioplasty (arm lift) as well as thigh plasty.
